Tyler was happy that she had accepted, for if she hadn't, he would surely die of boredom. And even if he didn't, it would be quite likely that he'd kill himself anyways just for the heck of it since there was nothing else to do. He was relieved, really.
Noticing her feel her neck and become exasperated, he figured she had lost a necklace or something, but he might as well have asked. "Are you alright? Did you lose something?" he said, figuring he could help her look for it, because whatever it was, she seemed upset to have lost it.
"I think I saw something flying off your neck while you were falling." he said. And it was true, now that he thought of it. Something of a mystery color, he couldn't see what it was when it fell off of her neck so fast. Just something causing a disruption in the air. "It should be around here somewhere if what I saw was right," he concluded, almost talking to himself.

Delilah looked around for it. It was the only thing she had left of her mother. She was rummaging through the sand, desprate. She was so scared she almost wanted to cry. But she couldn't.
She noticed Tyler helping her looked and smiled faintly. She blushed and kept looking.

"I think I found it!" he said, sifting his fingers through the sand. Something golden and now flaked with bits of grainy sand was in his hand. "Is this it?" he asked her, showing her the necklace in his palm and lightly brushing off the sand.
He was happy he could find this necklace that obviously meant something to her. It made him feel like he was a hero or something, strangely enough. Ofcourse, there was always the possibility it wasn't her necklace. ...nah.
He waited for her consent on whether the necklace was hers or not. He sat down and put his knees up to his chest so that he wasn't in such an uncomfortable position to stand still anymore. He was rather tired, he suddenly realized.
He had pretty much stayed up all last night, drinking cokes nonstop. He just couldn't get any sleep for no apparent reason at all. It had been rather wierd. He yawned, desperate for some Z's, but at the same time, wanting to live in the day. What day? This boring, overcast thing?

She looked at him, and her eyes widened Yes! she gasped, taking it from him and clutching it. She looked at him and practically threw herself on him, hugging him tightly Thank you soo much! she said, then blushed and let go. She bit her lip and stood up, brushing it off and putting it back on. She looked down at him Uh...still want that coffee? she said softly. She waited to see what he would say.

He laughed. "Happy I Could Help?" he said to her with another smile. He was a very smiley guy, really. "You're welcome. I'm glad I could find it for you." he had always been taught to mind his manners, and he did this without failure... well, to other highschoolers who were his friends, anways.
No, he had never been too polite to adults. Well, not exactly adults, but just parents in general ticked him off. They were always telling people what to do and not listening to their kids, which really bugged Tyler DeWild to the extent of rebellion.
"Ofcourse." he said. "I probably need one, too. Stayed up all night yesterday. Don't have a clue as to why, I just am that way." he said, staring at the ground for a few seconds as if he was trying to figure it out himself. "Well." he said. "Let's go." They were walking distance from the place, so it didn't matter that he didn't bring a car.

She smiled, looked down at her feet, and followed him. (Uhh...writers block..)
